The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun, approximately 35 km away. Taxis and shared cabs are readily available from the airport to Rishikesh.
The closest major railway station is Haridwar (HW), about 25 km from Rishikesh, with excellent connectivity to major Indian cities. Rishikesh also has a small railway station, but Haridwar is better connected. Taxis and local buses connect Haridwar to Rishikesh.
Rishikesh is well-connected by a network of national highways. Regular bus services operate from Delhi, Dehradun, and Haridwar. Taxis and private cars are also common modes of transport.
