Discovered in 1931 by British mountaineer Frank S. Smythe, this spectacular valley transforms into a vibrant carpet of colors during the monsoon season. The gentle landscape, contrasted with the rugged peaks, offers an unparalleled trekking experience. Flowing through the valley, the Pushpawati River adds to its serene beauty. It's not just a botanical paradise; the Valley of Flowers is also steeped in local folklore and spiritual significance, often combined with a pilgrimage to the sacred Sikh shrine of Hemkund Sahib.
