The nearest major airport is Shimla Airport (SLV), approximately 240 km away. Chandigarh International Airport (IXC) is another option, about 310 km away. From either airport, you will need to hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Kalpa.
The nearest major railway station is Kalka Railway Station (KLK), approximately 270 km from Kalpa. Kalka is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Kalka, you can take the Kalka-Shimla toy train to Shimla and then proceed by road, or hire a taxi directly.
Kalpa is well-connected by road, though the journey involves winding mountain roads. HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) buses operate regularly from Shimla, Reckong Peo, and other major towns. Private taxis and shared cabs are also readily available from Shimla and Kalka. The journey from Shimla typically takes 8-10 hours.
